Mahi
Navy Auxiliary Vessel · United States · Lost 1982 · The Hawaiian Islands
A former Navy vessel deliberately sunk off Waianae as an artificial reef, now one of Oahu's most popular wreck dives, patrolled by eagle rays.

The Vessel and Her Loss
Mahi was a Navy auxiliary vessel that was decommissioned and later sunk deliberately off Oahu's Waianae coast to create an artificial reef. She now rests upright in about 90 feet of water, her structure encrusted with coral and frequented by eagle rays and reef fish. Storm damage over the years has collapsed parts of her main deck.
