The Vessel and Her Loss
Built in 1893, when sail was already giving way to steam on the lakes, the schooner Dundee carried bulk cargoes on Lake Erie. She foundered in a gale off Cleveland in September 1900. The upright hull, with much of its structure standing, is among the better known dive wrecks of the Ohio shore.
