The Vessel and Her Loss
Superior Producer was a general cargo freighter that sank in late 1977 near the entrance to Willemstad harbour, Curaçao, reportedly after her cargo shifted while she waited in rough seas to unload. Her crew got off safely before she went down. The wreck now lies upright and largely intact close to shore, and is one of the island's most popular and accessible dive sites.
