Plutón
Torpedo Boat Destroyer · Spain · Lost 1898 · Cuba & the Greater Antilles
Sister ship of Furor, destroyed alongside her in the same doomed breakout from Santiago harbor.

The Vessel and Her Loss
Plutón was the third of Spain's Furor-class destroyers, built in Scotland and attached to Admiral Cervera's Caribbean squadron. Blockaded at Santiago de Cuba, she joined the desperate sortie of July 3, 1898, and was quickly wrecked and destroyed under heavy American fire, one of four Spanish warships lost that day.
