The Vessel and Her Loss
Built in 1907, the Regina was a Canadian cargo steamer trading on the lakes. She disappeared in the great November storm of 1913, which destroyed a dozen vessels on Lake Huron alone, and was lost with all aboard. Her inverted hull was located off Lexington in 1986 and now lies within a Michigan underwater preserve.
