The Vessel and Her Loss
Plymouth was a wooden schooner built in 1854 and later cut down to a barge. In November 1913 her tug left her at anchor near St. Martin Island as the Great Storm of 1913 broke. She was lost with all seven aboard. A note from one of the crew was later found in a bottle. Her wreck was found in 1984.
