The Vessel and Her Loss
Little Ranger was a small armed vessel taken as a prize by Bartholomew Roberts' pirate fleet before his final defeat. Brought to Port Royal, Jamaica, together with flagship Royal Fortune following Roberts' death at Cape Lopez in February 1722, she was destroyed roughly two weeks later when a hurricane swept through the harbor, sinking more than 50 vessels.
