The Vessel and Her Loss
Built in 1910, the steel bulk freighter Charles S. Price was caught in the great November storm of 1913 on Lake Huron and capsized with all hands. For days afterward an unidentified hull floated upside down off Port Huron before her name was established, and she became known as the storm's mystery ship. The inverted wreck lies in southern Lake Huron.
