The Vessel and Her Loss
Blanche King was a wooden four-masted schooner built in 1887 that wrecked on a Bermuda reef in 1920. Little of her structure survives beyond an anchor winch, bronze spikes, mast rigging, and deadeyes scattered across the site in about 35 feet of water. She is one of four wreck sites formally documented by the UC San Diego Bermuda 100 project alongside the Mary Celestia, Montana, and Constellation.
